I have 3 dogs and this item is wonderful for picking up dog hair and lint. I have the 2 larger rollers as well and they work like magic. You simply run it over the surface and then rinse it off when you are done and use it again. I have only had it for 3 months but I use it almost every day and it is still working like the first time I used it.
