Product Description
Stealthy Satin Black during the day, blends with dark clothing, but turns bright, for visibility and safety at night. This kit contains 48 inches of 1" wide, 48 inches of 2" wide, and 24 inches of 4" wide Black Reflective Fabric. In all, 240 square inches of bright nighttime visibility. Material is a blend of 35% cotton, and 65% polyester. The fabric has a thin layer of small retro-reflective glass beads bonded to its surface, producing a brilliant retro-reflective effect at night. It's soft, washable, easy manageable in cutting, slitting and sewing.It can easily be cut into strips or pieces, any shape, and sewn to shirts, jeans, jackets, and even leather.To see the tape's reflectivity, place the item in a dim or dark room, stand 15' away, and shine a flashlight (held near the level of your eyes) at the tape. In this way, an automobile's lights will make you conspicuous to the driver long before you can otherwise be seen. Be seen, Be safe! This tape is machine washable up to 105 F (warm) and can be machine dried, however, to maximize its life, we recommend washing on gentle cycle and use of a low temperature dryer setting, or line drying. Be seen, Be Safe!

Fantastic product; a lifesaver September 30, 2008

This is an outstanding product! Works best on a dark fabric, as in daylight it basically appears black, but that would be a matter of taste. But at night, when hit by light, it's like it has its own batteries! The photo really gives you a good idea of its appearance in a headlight beam. Very lightweight & flexible; sews on very easily. I bought it for my teenage daughter's "messenger bag." She didn't want a backpack with already sewn-on reflectors (e.g. LL Bean), and coats with reflective patches were out ("not cool," but I also wanted something she would use every day - well, she has to take her books, but doesn't always need a jacket). I needed something that would blend in with the bag & strap material (teens are so conscious of appearance!) and not "stand out" when it wasn't needed, yet blaze out for safety. We also wanted something "passive" that she wouldn't forget when running out of the house to catch the school bus or have to turn on. This is PERFECT. She's happy, we're happy; she's safe. Outstanding product. There's also enough that when this bag wears out, we have plenty more to do another bag (or two). And, to top it off, the merchant was excellent. Received it even faster than estimated, as advertised, well packed and in perfect condition. If I needed more, I'd buy again in a second!

Ok, hopefully I will never know if this product helps me avoid being hit by a bloody cager, but I can say that I went home and tested it in the dark. It's really cool that it is as black as black can be in regular light, then in the dark you shine some light on it (or flash camera you can see really good then) and it is an almost blinding white. Cool stuff.

I am stunned at how quickly I received this product! I have yet to use the actually product because the items I bought to apply it to have yet to arrive. I bought all products in the same 30 mins period, and the shipment was just so speedy on this it will be two more days before I get the products to apply it to! Thanks for the speedy service!
